Ready Made Racing gets First Win – BloodHorse

New racing/pinhooking stable Ready Made Racing won its first race and gave Will Walden his first victory as a trainer when their filly Dazzlingdominika won in her second start by a length in a five-furlong maiden special weight May 13 at Churchill Downs.
Ready Made Racing was created to pinhook 2-year-olds at the racetrack instead of at the sales. The concept is the brainchild of Walden and Frank Taylor, with Taylor Made Farm, who secured investors to support the venture. Walden and Taylor saw an opportunity with maiden races being written at Kentucky tracks for horses that sold or were bought back for $45,000 or less at their most recent sale.

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), Daily Racing Form, and the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters (NTWAB) will honor Frank Taylor and the Stable Recovery Program with the Special Eclipse Award for service to the Thoroughbred industry at the Resolute Racing 54th Annual Eclipse Awards Dinner and Ceremony at The Breakers Palm Beach in Florida on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to a press release from the NTRA on Thursday.
